Marit Eskelsen

Founding partner · Construction disputes

Marit has spent her career on the paper side of building projects: the contracts, change orders and pay applications that decide who gets paid.

Before law school Marit ran schedules for a commercial builder, so she reads a daily log the way the superintendent wrote it. She started the firm to give owners and trades the same lawyer from the lien notice through trial.

She leads the construction group and is the lawyer responsible for this site.

Away from the case files

Marit grew up in Sandpoint and moved to Salt Lake for school. She still owns the first tape measure she was given on a job site.

Weekends she cross-country skis in Big Cottonwood Canyon, and in summer she builds furniture badly and with great patience.
